The company, Lovranske Vile Ltd., was established in 1996 with the main objective of developing a ‘Unique Concepts in Holiday Living’, which address the personal needs of each and every guest. It is intended to blend the Croatian natural and human heritage with a warm personal approach, friendly environment and high comfort levels, while enhancing creativity and personal health. All this, to achieve "life balance" during the holiday.

To meet this challenge the company has selected a historical health resort: the town of Lovran. The selection was based on the following main considerations:

· Lovran’s prime location: situated on Kvarner Bay in the Opatija Riviera where Mediterranean and Central Europe meet, only few hours drive from Vienna, Trieste, Venice, Ljubljana, Munich. Additionally, it is not far away from the famous Croatian national parks.

· Beautiful architecture: a romantic mixture of Central European and Mediterranean styles.

· Climate: Lovran is part of Opatija Riviera with its mild Mediterranean climate.

· Lovran's tourism tradition: a seaside medieval town with numerous villas and beautiful land, town and seascapes. In the first half of the century Lovran was a famous tourist health resort, developed at the turn of the century (1890-1910) by the Vienna Medical Society.

Company purchased individual apartments in historical villas at the waterfront and an abandoned farm on the hills above Lovran and converted them into high end tourism venues:

Villa Astra – boutique hotel and spa with outdoor pool and private beach.

Villa Adele – a self-catering residence

Casa Oraj – peaceful place for seminars and conferences in tranquil environment on 3 hectares of terraced land with dry-stone walls and caves

Company offers unique wellness concept under the brand name ‘Life is’ consisting of holistic health and lifestyle evaluation of each individual, followed by different treatments, lectures and activities for de-stress and health care, spiritual and personal development in your life-long long learning process.

Company is partner with local organic food producers for its certified organic restaurant.

Company is offering consultation services for implementation of Integrated local development plan and participates in local development projects.

Company was initiator for establishing Lovrana Nostra, local heritage NGO and SOL Kvarnera – NGO for supporting learning organisations in the area.

Company is a member of OMH – Croatian association of small and family owned hotels, Schlosshotels, Historic Hotels of Europe, SHE – Small Elegant Hotels.
